IMS2019 Startup Pavilion: How Collaborations Between Big Corporations and Startups Take Them Both to the Next Level
With the International Microwave Symposium (IMS) returning to Boston, MA, the IMS2019 Steering Committee considers this the perfect opportunity to launch a new category of conference events focused on Startups. Boston is famous for being the hub of microwaves innovation, and has a local culture rich with ambitious, thriving startups and entrepreneurs. To support and showcase the unique contributions and opportunities that startups provide to microwave technology, IMS2019 is introducing the Startup Pavilion.
The Startup Pavilion is a branded, physical space on the Exhibition floor, dedicated to Startups. The prime and exclusive location is provided in order to offer younger, smaller companies the unique opportunity to purchase a turn-key booth in order to promote their products and technology at the world’s largest microwave and RF industry trade show.
Throughout the week of the conference, a series of Startup specific events will be held. At the adjacent MicroAppsTheater, a panel discussion will be held with the topic of “How Collaborations Between Big Corporations and Startups Take Them Both to the Next Level.” There will also be a Pitch Event competition: “The Next Top Startup” where earlier stage entrepreneurs can pitch their ideas to volunteer judges who include experts active in the startup ecosystem. Along with valuable feedback and networking opportunities.
