On-Chip Circulators from DC to RF with Direct Sampling GaN Switches
Circulators based on sequentially switched delay lines (SSDL) have been demonstrated in the past, which can offer simultaneous operating bandwidth from DC to RF with a small on-chip footprint. This talk discusses the state-of-the-art in such circulator design focusing on GaN MMIC implementations. Practical issues such as insertion loss, isolation, power dissipation and power handling will also be discussed.
