Summary and Highlights of our mm-Wave Broadband PA Design Workshop

This talk will briefly address the pros and cons of silicon-based vs. GaAs/GaN based technologies for broadband mm-wave PA design. We will highlight the need for cost-effective and power-efficient solutions for 5G transmitters and summarize forward-looking ideas, based on the presented material from our WS speakers. Additionally, high-complexity but cost-effective digital-signal-processing based techniques will be presented, which may serve to address some of the current technology problems.
