Energy efficient IoT sensors are deployed in many cyber physical systems. We present a wireless self-powered IoT smart edge mote designed for an agricultural application. The mote is a complete system featuring wireless connectivity, X86-based compute, cryptographic engines, visual pipeline, neural-network-based inference accelerator, multi-sensing analog front-end, agricultural sensors and specially designed research battery. The entire operation is sustained with harvested ambient energy. Multiple-input single-inductor multiple-output (MISIMO) energy harvesting, multi-rail power delivery and fine-grain power management are essential ingredients of the low-power mote system.
