A Bidirectional 36Gbps Connectorless Connector at 2–4cm Using a 28GHz 2×2 Phased-Array with Position-Offset Compensation
This paper presents a high-data rate wireless link over a short distance using a 2×2 phased-array. The array can be used as a connectorless connector that enables ultra-fast data transfer without the need for a physical cable connecting the transmitter and receiver. It is seen that the use of phased-array scanning, even in a small array, greatly increases the link robustness versus misalignment and maintains a low EVM over large misalignment distances.
