Broadband PA Design in CMOS and SOI for 5G Applications

This talk will discuss the design, implementation and measurement of power amplifiers, implemented in 40nm CMOS, 28nm CMOS and 22nm FD-SOI technologies. The key focus will be on broadband operation and low distortion, as these are critical factors for 5G. Several circuit techniques to reduce AM/AM and AM/PM distortion in combination with high bandwidth will be discussed in more detail and explained with several examples at 28GHz and 77GHz.
