HBT and CMOS Outphasing Power Amplifiers for mm-Wave Applications

Outphasing is a powerful approach to load modulation in mm-wave bands. This workshop talk will discuss advancements in the performance of out phasing modulators that are realized with HBT and CMOS integrated circuit technologies and compare these approaches. Additionally, I will discuss architectures for mm-wave bands from 28 to more than 100GHz that might leverage these out phasing approaches.
