Synthesis and Assembly of Hexaferrite Nanoparticles for Monolithic Fabrication of mm-Wave Circuits

HRL Laboratories is investigating synthesis techniques of hexaferrite nanoparticles to demonstrate faceted water-dispersed platelets that can be self-assembled into dense self-biased and anisotropic magnetic films, while eliminating any high-temperature sintering steps. We will present our early results and how these pave the way for all-integrated mm-wave subsystem on a chip.
